Microsoft extends XP’s life again

Microsoft has extended the life of Windows XP beyond the date that Windows 7 gets its first service pack.
Previously it had been thought that the Vole was going to discontinue the right to downgrade from Windows 7 to XP when the Windows 7 SP1 service pack came out.
Now it appears, according to a Microsoft blog, that Microsoft has decided to extend downgrade rights to Windows XP Professional beyond the previously planned end date at Windows 7 SP1.

Microsoft patching 34 vulnerabilities

It’s another update Tuesday and Microsoft revealed today it would address 34 security flaws through 10 separate bulletins, three of which are marked “critical.” The other seven are flagged up as “important.”
“The June release is a large update and will keep system administrators busy, even if they have migrated to Windows 7 already,” said Wolfgang Kandek, chief technology officer at Qualys, in a statement.

Hackers plant viruses in Windows smartphone games

New evidence has come to light that hackers are not planting Viruses inside of Windows Smartphone Games. The two games are 3d Anti-Terrorist and PDA Poker Art.
The games are being provided on legitimate mobile based software sites according to John Hering, CEO of San Francisco-based security firm Lookout.
Users do not normally see the presence of the viruses until they see the phone bill that can consume hundreds, if not thousands of pounds in premium rate services.
