Today, we are announcing our first update for the MeeGo v1.0 Core Software Platform &Netbook User Experience project release, announced on May 25th.
Many of you were quick to install our recent release of MeeGo v1.0 on your netbook. We appreciate all of the community help from those of you who tested our release and filed bugs. In fact, this update has over 100 bug fixes and is recommended for all users running MeeGo 1.0.

The MeeGo Linux operating system for mobile devices gained software support at the Computex show this week in Taiwan. Novell and Linpus both announced MeeGo-based netbook distributions, Movial announced a “MeeGo Services” development suite, and Telefonica has weighed in with support for the open source platform.
In April, the project announced a wide range of supporting partners, including most major Linux desktop distro vendors except for Canonical (Ubuntu). Last week, MeeGo v1.0 for Netbooks was released, but was not offered in a full standalone distribution image.
