Google announced on Tuesday a new type of website indexing called Caffeine which will bring in 50% more “fresher” results than the current indexing system in use by allowing the user to view posted content from blogs, forums, and some social networking sites much quicker.
Google doesn’t say whether the new indexing system is currently in full effect, just that it’s completed and ready – I guess only time will tell.
From Google:
Our old index had several layers, some of which were refreshed at a faster rate than others; the main layer would update …

Video chat, voice chat, and group chat have all been available for some time within Gmail, but they’ve been curiously tucked away. Getting them up and running required fidgeting with a little menu at the bottom of each chat window. Starting today, all of these features will be just a single click away.

The concept designs come from the developers behind Chromium OS – the open-source project that underpins Google Chrome and not Google itself – but they give a decent indication of how a Google Tablet might measure up against the iPad.
The designs show a variety of onscreen keyboard configurations, including the half-screen keyboard found on the iPad, a smaller keyboard docked to the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, and a …

You’ve probably not heard about this yet, but it’s likely that you’ve seen it.
Google hasn’t made any mention of the service, but the company has brought about Twitter feeds in ads.
Pretty cool concept, honestly. Your display ad shows up, and your latest Tweet appears in it. A viewer can choose to “Follow on Twitter”, or click any other part of the ad to be taken to your business’ page.
According to an article on Clickz, Google has declined to comment directly about the new service, but is saying that the company is …
