Android 2.2 “froYo”

Google Releases Docs Viewer for iPhone, Android and iPad

Google has just announced the availability of Google Docs view on mobile browsers on Android, iPhone and iPad to allow you to view PDFs, .ppt, .doc and .docx files on Google Docs of that you’v received in Gmail.
The app lets you switch quickly between pages and pan/zoom within a page. On your iPhone and iPad, you can pinch to zoom in or out.

NEC Unveils World’s Brightest LED-based Projector

Think that your existing LED-based projector isn’t bright enough? NEC Display Solutions might have the answer. The company is currently exhibiting an LED-based projector that boasts a brightness as high as 2000lm, touted as the world’s brightest LED-based projector; it uses RGB color LEDs as a light source.

Sony 3D TV’s are in the shops

Sony 3DTVs and game and blu-ray content are now available in stores across the UK from today (11 June).
According to Sony, consumers will now be able to experience 3D gaming in the home for the first time with the launch of four 3D Playstation games: WipEout HD, SuperStardust HD, PAIN and MotorStorm Pacific Rift Demo. All titles are available to download for free when purchasing a Sony 3DTV. Playstation 3 owners can update their consoles to 3D with a firmware update.

Archos 5 Internet Tablet (with OpenGL)

The Archos internet tablet has just received a hugely significant update to it’s system; the new 89MB update enables the Android 1.6 platform to run OpenGL software. Dell Streak goes on sale

The Dell Streak, Dell’s 5-inch Android-powered tablet has gone on sale in the UK, but with a decidedly phone-like pricing and tariff.
The phone/tablet that was first announced at CES in January has also managed to get a US price and release date as well, but won’t see the shops for another month.
In the UK the Dell Streak will be available exclusively on O2 for the time being, at prices starting from £25 a month and £149 for the 16GB model on a 24-month contract with 100 minutes of calls. Those looking …
